“It didn’t really set in until the moment my foot hit the floor in that first jump that I realized this would be our last dance on this floor. In the middle of our dance, all of my emotions hit me at once, and I instantly wished I could have gone back to my first year with my poms. We’ve all grown so much together, and I consider them my family” Senior Ashlyn Frye says after performing her last dance as an LHS senior. The dance was performed at the last home basketball game of the season on Tuesday, February 16th. The dance was choreographed by Seniors Brooklyn Wattenbarger, Lauren Weigart, and Arianna Davis-Williams. This years seniors included Ashlyn Frye, Cheyenne Dunkle, Jillian Lysaght, Madi Heath, Arianna Davis-Williams, Brooklyn Wattenbarger, and Lauren Weigart. The girls as a whole agreed that dancing their last dance as a senior was a bittersweet moment. Jillian Lysaght expresses her thoughts on senior night by saying, “I would miss the 6am practices, but I will miss the memories than happened in those practices. I won’t miss long hot Jamboree practices at Missouri Western, but I will miss getting the chance to meet with other school and grow. I won’t miss the out of breath, almost falling on my face in the middle of the dance moments, but I will miss the adrenaline rush, the happiness, that dancing brought me”
