Last Friday April 1st was the senior citizen prom. The theme was oriental. They were feed Chinese food and door prizes were given. The gym was decorated and there were lots of people there. One lady who was there said,
“It was good to be back “home” and reconnect with “old” friends! Get the word out from the grads of the ‘70s.

Lafayette has held the Senior’s prom for 11 years, this years theme was “Let the good Times Roll. The evening began at 6:00pm, we serve dinner, and dessert to those who attend. There was a DJ there and they danced with the students. There were also prizes for different categories. One of the categories was for the person who was in the oldest graduating class, and the winner was Jan Saxton, she graduated from Lafayette in 1943. We also had a prize for the couple who had been together the longest and since high school there were 11 couples at the prom who met at LHS and are still together the couple who won the prize have been together for 62 years!
